Genesis Exodus Update:

So here is an update on how the movie that I am working on this quarter.  The left column has the original footage while the right has the movie with cg elements added, as well as compositing.

Sphere with Reflection, Diffusion, Shadow, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion passes and Fog rendered with Maya Fluids.

Sphere with Reflection, Diffusion, Shadow, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion passes and Fog rendered with Maya Fluids.  In the previous frames the actor is rotoscoped to look like he is walking into the fog.
The fingers have been shattered using DMM  and have Sphere with Reflection, Diffusion, Shadow, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion passes applied.  I also used camera mapping to match the ground plain. 

Finger with a Normal, and Bump maps as well as a Diffusion, Shadow, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion passes.  The legs of the creature also have maya fur on them and the whole character has a simple insect like rig.

Sphere with Reflection, Diffusion, Shadow, Specular, and Ambient Occlusion passes.  I motion tracked the camera to try and match the spheres movement to the actors and the cameras.
